An official British Accessibility Standard

News from the Web Standards Project – it seems that the old PAS78 standard that was so popular is being made into an official British Standard for Accessibility

If this sticks, which it looks like it will, the web development community could finally find itself at a point where we can work to a set of proper rules, which frankly will be a welcome addition to the industry.

This sounds like progress – how very un-British!
